Serving professionals in the industrial and service sector since 1956, KAR has been profitable every year since becoming incorporated in 1983.  KAR reinvests those profits into equipment, facilities and long-term growth.  There are no contingent liabilities or lawsuits pending or anticipated, nor has KAR ever been named as a defendant in any litigation.  General liability, and all facilities and equipment, are fully insured at replacement cost with an A.M. Best "A++ rated" carrier, and professional liability insurance is maintained with an A.M. Best "A rated" carrier.  KAR is one of the few laboratories doing environmental testing that has not undergone forced mergers, sell offs, bankruptcy, or a large drop in revenue and profitability.  In 1994 KAR experienced its sole layoff affecting more than one employee, with job reinstatement of the three employees within two months.  Part of this outstanding stability is a result of corporate bylaws requiring company ownership by full-time employees (who also happen to be both laboratory experts and professional chemists).  KAR's exceptional stability as demonstrated by a half-century of dependable performance and a consistent, qualified staff assure that high quality data will be uninterrupted, now and in the future.
